We had a live-chat feature on the old KKMB format, however, in the 5 or so years I was a member on the old board the chat feature was only used once IIRC.

I see what Galahad means, though.  It would be nice to be able to do an instant chat, like on Yahoo.  Even PMs aren't like a conversation.

There is a private message system.  Look at the top of the page.  If you want to pm someone, click on their name, and it will give you that as an option.

It would e nice to have a built in messenger on the site like facebook does.  Posting responses takes a while and quite often I find myself having conversations in posts with people that are logged in at the same time.
