Jung Ki Hapkido training session - January 17, 2009
« Reply #1 on: January 09, 2009, 10:26:50 AM »
I realize this is short notice (sorry for not posting this earlier), but the Jung Ki Kwan of America will hold a three-hour training session on Saturday, January 17, from 12:00 to 3:00 in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey.

The session is open to martial artists of all styles and is free. There will be students and master-level instructors from our kwan from several of our dojangs in the Northeast.

We do this once or twice a year just to get together and practice with each other, and to compare notes from our most recent training visits to Korea. The atmosphere is informal and very friendly, rather different from a more formal "seminar". This would be a good opportunity for people to see a bit of very traditional hapkido, as taught by the founder, Choi Yong Sul, to our headmaster, GM Lim Hyun Soo. Students with experience in Japanese Jujutsu, particularly any koryu style, should find our art interesting.

Please contact me via PM if you think you can make it.
"The Korean founder, Mr. Choi Yong Sul, said, 'When you are forty, you can get to know the primary skills.' This expresses how difficult hapkido training is." (http://jungkikwan.com)
