I may be able to help with packages and plug-ins etc. I use smf for my forum. I also have hand coded a few buttons in for various themes so if you want to put different themes in and buttons don't show up I could help out with that. Let me know if I can be of any help.

Bluedragon, I miss the old database very much, but a hacker trashed it, so it's gone now.  That's why we have our new one.

I do love our new forum, though.  :)

Go to Profile - Look & Layout - Uncheck show most recent at top.  Save
There you go I think this is what you are talking about.
Crap maybe I should read all the posts. Sorry didn't mean to answer this again

Not to be arguementative, but every other board I frequent has the newest posts at the bottom of the page, and if there are more than one page, the LAST PAGE contains the newest posts. That way, people can start on page one and read all posts in chronological order like a book. From front to back.

This is more like my daughters manga that she reads. It all starts at the back of the book, and you read it from back to front. VERY confusing for us Americans.  LOL

Couldn't the old database be converted? That way all the members would have had all there post counts and such. Just wondering not a big deal to me regardless. I obviously don't mind this format because it is what I use for my forum. I actually recommended SMF to KK awhile back. Wow time flies.....

Anyway hope you all like the new forum. KK or rather KT staff if you want any input or ideas on packages etc feel free to ask me. I run SMF on my own board.

Hey, one other thing I just noticed I miss from the old board.  When you posted a hyperlink on KK, it would let you enter the URL, but also enter another string for a title for your link.  Then the link would appear in red, with your title (rather than the URL) showing.  Is it possible to do that here?  If so, I can't figure it out.

I am still having trouble adjusting..not sure why :-[  just sort of feels too confusing visually in my perceptually differently ordered head and not as easy to navigate. I am not sure how to put this into words. But somehow the other format was easier for me to navigate. Oh well. I just have to make more of an effort to get in and look at the topics. I will get there!  Jess

Oh good, it actually worked!  I was worried I had no idea what I was talking about.  I can't get used to the new format either!  Part of the problem is that there are so many posts now (a great problem to have!) that I am having trouble sorting through them.

Gambatte, click on "profile" and then, under "modify profile" and "look and layout," it gives you an option to unclick "Show most recent posts at top."  See if that works.

I pretty sure that most boards have this kind of layout. I think KKMB was the oddity with regards to that.
