Give us heads up on this one like you did the last one.  I'm going to try to find it on closed circuit.

No, the first one doesn't "count" as you say. It goes down as nothing. It never happened, so it doesn't even get recorded..

Too bad. Well, the good thing is, you are still undefeated.

I believe you are going for your second win in a row (the first one counts, right?). Hopefully this time your opponent won't default. Good luck and great skill, my friend.

Best wishes to you Gambatte:

If you decide to brace or wrap it. I would consider doing both. Your oponent Hopefully won't know which one to attack that way.

Sincerely, NightOwl

Foot is healed, and I am scheduled to fight again on May 8th....Again in Louisiana. This time, I'm going in at 155 weight class. I'm currently walking around at 162-164. I'll easily drop to 155 the week of the fight. I can't wait. I have some pent up aggression in me.

AAAARRRRGGHHHH!!!!!!!

On Wednsday night, I was training for another upcoming fight on the 17th with one of our fighters. I slipped on the mats, and rolled my foot over, and broke my foot. :( Now no fight on the 27th for me. :( I will be out for 6 weeks according to the doctor, and Mrs. Gambatte Karate. According to ME, though, It's only going to be about 3 weeks.  :o LOL

You should listen to the Doctor and the missus. You don't want to make it worse than it is and you want to be on top shape for a fight. Get well soon!

lol you're right about that nightowl. even though it wasnt the "best" experience in the world, i think i like it better than traditional tournaments where i end up paying out $50 to enter, $20-40 in gas, and $90 for a hotel. i mean, the promoter paid for the hotel, fuel, and there wasn't an entry fee. i don't make any money at it, but unlike at raditional tournament, i'm not loosing any either. plus, it helps to add legitimacy to my schools program.

Actually, it doesn't go on my record as a "win". In fact, it doesn't go down as anything. It's like it never happened. :(

Bogirl, I know huh? My reputation must preceed me. LOL More likely, the second guy saw me working out and saw how tall I was and that I was manhandling my training partner, and wanted no part of it. LOL

Well, that is kind of a let down, but still: a win is a win is a win (even by default).

Ok, here you go.....Short version:

I went up there to Louisiana.

My opponent was a no show because his uncle died the day before. (Had an accident and had to have the plug pulled by my opponent)

They found a second opponent.

Second opponent showed up to the hotel, checked in, then called the promoter and backed out.

So, no fight for me. :(

The promoter still payed me though, and was a stand up guy.

The end.

I'm looking for another fight for Feb though.
