I agree:  Sometimes the action actually gets in the way of the story which for me is paramount. If the action doesn't support the story then it takes away from the whole experience.  Even so, there are times that I just don't feel like sitting on the edge of my seat for two hours either.  Some times its nice just to relax and laugh and be mellow.

Sometimes it's nice to not have movies too intense.   I go to the theatre to be entertained and escape reality for a while, not to get too tense.

Well, The Lady Lark and I got to see this one yesterday.  As Bogirl said it had a pretty decent love story in it.  And It is an interesting take on the traditional Robin Hood Story Its hard not to say anything about this one that doesn't give the plot line away but it is a good action flick although not quite as intense as Prince of Persia.

Over all I think I liked that one better but we'll see; My Lady and myself are going to see it together sometime this week.

Not at all.  They didn't go for the blood & gore stuff. Sure people get hurt and killed, but there's no spurting blood or pieces flying off or any of that kind of stuff.

Nice romance story too, not as much as the Kevin Costner version, but still there.

HHHmmmmm

You've got me interested.  Do you think my Lady Lark will enjoy it or is it too bloody?

I did go see it, it's pretty good.  A different historical take than what I've seen before.
